How does Flex Spending work?
Tips for using flex spending with LASIK in San Francisco

During the first part of the plan year which typically starts in January or June your employer should request a meeting to discuss the possibilities of developing a Flex Spending Account. (FSA) The employer will ask you how much money you would like to contribute for the year. There is usually only limited enrollments periods so make sure to pro-actively ask your employer when these periods occur. The amount that you determine for submission will be subtracted from your routine payroll check in equal installments. When you start to build up medical bills from elements that are not covered by health insurance you will have the opportunity to use this FSA. You will need to discuss the payment criteria with your medical providers as well.
